What Dave Cisar and the Screaming Eagles are doing in Nebraska is inspirational. Truly, I believe the Eagles organization should be congratulated and studies to ensure that youth football organizations throughout this great country can share in the joy and life lessons discovered through using this system.

The Screaming Eagles have a proven tack record when it comes to winning youth football games. Because of this track record, the emphasis on teamwork and thousands for hours of research Dave has done, this book does what it claims in the title. It is a how-to book designed for you, the coach to provide your players and your community a method of Winning Youth Football games.

Dave,
I just wanted to let you know how my PW 8-10 year old football team did in our first year running your Single Wing system.

Let me first start by letting you know that I have had this core group of kids (7 kids) since they were eight years old. We went 0-10 the first year and 1-9 last year for a combined record of 1-19.

After reading your tips and blog section for a couple of months, I realized that I was doing everything that you point out in your book that losing teams do. So, I bought your book and materials.

The number one best decision that I have every made for my youth football team. I implemented the practice plans, defense, special teams, and offense just as you have outlined the book and here are the results.

We are a non-select rec. team with 18 players (10 of the 18 had never played tackle football). We went undefeated 10-0 for the first time using your system.

Offensively we outscored our opponents 321-6, scoring on all but three possession. We ran the Sainted Six along with the Mouse Series, Spinner Series, Buck Wedge Series, Mesh Series, and the War Mouse formation. The 31 Trap and Spinner 26 Power were our bread and butter running plays and 18 Sweep Pass and War Mouse Pass were our go to pass plays when we needed to make yards. Also, all of our non striped players either scored a touchdown or a extra point. How many other teams can say that?

Defensively we gave up 1 touchdown and only 6 first downs in 10 games. We ran your WT6 defense as you outlined in your book. We where the only team in the league were the subs played as much as our starters.

Again, thanks for making this information available for me to use. It really made me reflect and remember the fun I had playing youth, high school, and college football and put the enjoyment back into coaching youth football again.

Troy Carter
8-10 year old PW

Hi Dave,
The Leesburg Redskins (8-9 year-olds) have existed for two seasons and we have successfully used your version of the Snglewing both years. Our league re-drafts each year and we were only able to get two players from 2006 back on the roster. Still, the kids managed an undefeated season. The team's all time record now stands at 21-0.

This year's team scored 343 points in 12 games for an average of 28.6 points per game. The vast majority (over 260) of those points were scored in the first half with our younger, less experienced kids playing the entire second half of nearly every game. Fifteen of our eighteen kids were able to score this season with the three exceptions being weight restricted players who were unable to play any position other than interior line.

Winning is always nice but the thing I enjoy most about your material is the insight on developing young players and keeping the game fun and safe for all. We have never had a child that did not finish the season and all of our players from 2006 returned to football again this year. Of my 7 youngest players from that first team, two were starting QBs this season, two were starting running backs, two were top linemen for their respective teams, and the other was a two way starter at offensive end and defensive tackle.

Thanks Dave,
-Steve Arnold

Dave,
I ordered your system this past spring and studied it all summer. I had a hard time convincing my staff in the beginning, so I started off with some of the basic principles of the single wing. As the season went on I would add in little things here and there basically without them knowing until our final offensive walk-through of the week. Last year was my first year and we went 3-6 without your system. This year with only a few more kids (3rd & 4th grade) we ended up 10-2 and became the ACYFL State Champions. I already have parents asking me how can there kids join my team next year. And we just ended our season 3 weeks ago.

Thanks Again,

Hi Coach Dave,
Thanks for writing "Winning Youth Football." In 2006 I was a rookie Offensive Coordinator for our Mitey Mite team, unfortunately I didn't know "Winning Youth Football" existed. Our age 7, 8 & 9 year-old team ended up havinga tough season (3-5). Too many times the kids would come back to the huddle and ask, "... Coach, who do I block." I made a lot of rookie mistakes and vowed to never let that happen again. I found your book in January of this year, and attended your seminar back in February at the Glazier Clinic in Newton, MA. What a difference.

Our team went 7-1, scoring over 200 points in those 8 games. We scored on the very first play of the year (16 Power), and did that in three other games, plus we had two others where we scored on the second play (all were 16 Power). I had 7 different kids score touchdowns on offense. All the things you predicted could happen.

Perhaps the best part was I shared the book with my Head Coach and other Assistants and they all bought in, it greatly helped in our coaching approach. Your system is a great blueprint, and I am really looking forward to next year.

Thanks again for sharing your knowledge.

Dave,
We installed your Sing Wing offense this year and experienced outstanding success. Our team finished with a record of 9-1 and the Utah County Football Conference 2007 Championship. Your system simplified our job as coaches and allowed us to avoid many of the pitfalls encountered when installing a new offence. We consider your book and DVD's to be a bargain that no coach should be without.

Dave,
Prior to the beginning of that season I conducted a lot of research into finding a new offense. Years prior with a different head coach we were using the wish bone. (The head coach was a running back for the University of Oklahoma.) Needless to say things were not too good. I saw your Single Wing and loved it. Not only because of the offense but also the structure of the program that came with it. My ideals and philosophy are very similar to yours.

Well with a new head coach coming in, I presented him with your coaches clinic. In fact I locked him in my house and forced him to watch it. He also loved it and we implemented it right away. We had a great season and went 7-1 mercy ruling many teams and allowing first year players to get lots of quality playing time. By the way we played in division one this year. Well I'm so proud of our kids I just had to let you know.

Staten Island Pee Wee Football 8-9 yr old Div Champs!!!!
Thanks Coach Cisar for all your help this year. I have all of your materials and attended a Mega Clinic when you were in NY. I can't say enough good things about your program and your availability to answer any questions regarding the material you produce. Our team led the league in offense scoring over 300 points in 12 games in a very competitive league. We were not very big or very fast and were made up of mostly 8yr olds and this was our 1st yr running Single Wing.

Anyone who is serious about coaching football owes it to themselves and their team to take a look at Coach Cisar's materials. Even if you don't run this offense, his ideas on Defense, blocking, special teams and every other aspect of football are right on. Thanks again Coach you share in this Championship with us.

Hello Dave,
I have always been passionate about football my whole life.I played college football at Auburn University.Last year (2007) was my first year as a Head Coach for the "Eagles" 9-10 year old boys. And just before the season started I was searching hard for something different to implement.I ran across your Single Wing Offense and I knew this was it.Without hesitation I ordered the material so that I could teach myself your system before "springing it" onto the town of Smiths Station in Alabama.I got your material just 4 days before the seasons first practice started.

So I put a plan together to get my team ready. We won our first 3 games!! We came in 3rd place and we were the ONLY team to give a loss to the Division Champs.Taken into account that this was my first year, the time constraints, 77% of my boys were 9 years old, and that we were the smallest team in the league,,,,I am Super Proud of how we finished!

Everyone associated with the youth league is talking about my crazy offense. Next year we will be the team to beat I can guarantee you that. But the most important thing that I saw happen to my team is that the boys had fun and lots of it.I did not have a single player quit my team.I have never

Your system is an overall absolute must have.

Again thanks for the Awesome youth football system,

Happy New Year Dave:
I bought your system last spring because I knew in order for us to be competitive we had to do something "different."

We are a little unique in that we are an 8-man football team in Alabama. We did a little adapting and used the wing back and blocking back interchangeably and ran your version of the Single Wing. When the kids bought into the system, we had great success.

Our record was 10-1. We scored 54 TD's, averaged 45 points per game, and 400 yards rushing per game. We had 14 players carry the ball on a team made up of 23 players. To make an understatement, we were all pleasantly surprised. To top things off, we played in the National Asscociation of Christian Athletes tournament and won the whole "enchilada." We beat a team that had not lost a game in over 2 years in an overtime thriller.

Freedom Academy defeated the defending champs, Harvester, 28-26 in overtime in one of the best finals ever at NACA.

Thanks Dave for all your efforts and hard work.
May God bless you.

Dave,
The 2007 season I had some coaches trying to talk me into running more of a spread offense. I hate to say it but I caved in. In our first five games we went 1-4. I was frustrated, kids frustrated and you know how the parents can get. I made the decision that we would go to the single wing and the other coaches would have to buy in.

We implemented the single wing and over the next 10 games we went 8-2. Wow!!! what a turnaround. The new coaches we had bought in and loved it. We implemented the mouse and the spinner. The high school coach even made comments about how he really liked all of the motion in the mouse series.

We made it to the playoffs and made it down to the final 8 teams out of 34. The season has been over for about 2 months now and I am really looking forward to next season. We now have other coaches wanting to learn more about our offense and how to install the system.

Dave, thanks for all the work you do it has helped the 4th grade Tigers of Coweta Oklahoma excited about fifth grade football next year.

Thanks again

Dave,
I met you at the Cherry Hill, New Jersey Mega clinic last winter. I had just finished as an assistant coach of a Pop Warner Mitey Mite team of seven to nine year olds. Like most teams we had a couple of kids with fairly good talent but most were average and new to football. We were also undersized at every position. We in my opinion had a dedicated coaching staff that really had the best interest of the kids at heart and some experience both as former players and coaches. Despite our best intentions our team struggled to a 3 and 6 record. Our kids were in most games and played hard only to fall short for the usual coaches excuses, too small, too slow, not tough enough, can't remember the plays, ect. At the seasons end I felt as though our kids were cheated from the experience of winning.

I knew the following season I would become the head coach of this group of boys and made up my mind to better prepare myself and my coaches to help the boys get the most out of themselves. I noticed that most of the other teams in my organization were not winning and had not been winning for some time. Many of these coaches had been loosing every year and hid behind the motto " as long as the kids are having fun". These same coaches spent most of their time scrimmaging in practice. I observed the teams running the usual offenses and defenses that have been run forever in youth football. At the completion of that season I reviewed what we had failed to accomplish and realized I was the major reason our kids had not succeeded. I had attempted to run a series based offense without running the series to set up the next series of plays or the complimentary plays in the series I was running. I also did not pull my guards or double team players.

After attending three full days at the clinic listening to all the youth football speakers I could, I decided out of laziness to purchase your system. I was very skeptical but figured what could I lose, I like most blow money on much less worthy causes. After receiving your manual and DVD'S I was hooked. I obviously was impressed by your teams ability to score but what sold me on the offense was the ability and design of the plays to overcome the mistakes of the kids. I repeatedly saw kids missing blocks and the plays still working by their sheer design. The kids were not overly fast or large and they controlled the ball and time of possession in every game. I especially liked how the backs "usually the best athletes on the field" were able to do most of the blocking at the point of attack. In the past I had tried to let lineman block linebackers with little success. At the youth level it makes sense to have the lineman block down on and in essence contain the defensive lineman and allow the backs to make all the difficult blocks.

At the very beginning everyone could see how easy it was for the kids to receive the snap and to eliminate muffed center QB exchanges a problem at all levels of youth football. The kids quickly loved the wedge plays and my backs became proficient at blocking for each other. In our first scrimmage game we played a much larger team from a successful organization and literally pounded them. I had their coach coming into my huddle and asking me how long did it take you to teach this offense to these kids? At that moment I believe my kids and coaching staff bought into the program. We had an outstanding season I can not tell you how many drives we had that lasted 12 to 15 plays and literally ate up a whole quarter.

The parents loved this and it made me feel good to get everyone in the game well past the minimum play requirements. I recently purchased the new DVD set with the jet series and loved the added speed and quasi counter plays. You even flipped the power play as I did from time to time during our season. I will be traveling to Baltimore in Feb with several of my coaches to give them some first hand exposure to you. Dave thanks for everything!

Dave,
I want to thank you for the outstanding 2007 season we had at the Midget JV level (10s and 11s), my first as head coach and offensive coordinator! We were division champions with a 6-2 record and made it through the playoffs one game shy of the metro championship (7-3), losing to the eventual champions. I am proud to say that we accomplished this feat against long odds: a brand new coaching staff who had never coached together and a group of kids from three different levels, most of whom had never played together. After losing our first game and taking some advice and support from you via email we ran off five straight wins, lost one and then the dominated to win the division championship! Your program works but you've got to have faith! My team is living proof!

Thanks for everything!

Dave,
Thanks for a great season. Yourunbalanced line single offense is the perfect fit for youth football. Our instructional team (6-8 year olds) went 10-2-1 and played in the championship game; this despite being the youngest, most inexperienced and smallest team in our extremely competitive league. Our league is the last league before selection for the traveling teams which has produced multiple UYFC national championships (including 2 this year) and many Division 1 (Georgia, Auburn, Georgia Tech, Notre Dame and others) and NFL players (Patrick Pass, Jeff Saturday and others). Our team averaged more than 27 points per game and 8 different players scored. Parents and other coaches were amazed with the complexity and deception that our offense produced. Your system was so easy to understand and easy to install; after watching the DVDs and your inspirational presentation (as a requirement to be on my coaching staff), my assistant coaches were fired up and 'true believers' in the system. Your progression drills offer solid fundamental instruction in small, easily taught and easy to understand bites which is perfect for young kids. By the end of the season, the other coaches were watching our practices to see how we were creating such fundamentally sound players who could execute such a dynamic and high powered offense.

Finally and most importantly, the kids loved it. I am confident that all of players will be back next year and our coaching evaluations by the parents were unparalleled among the league.

My only regret from the season is that I did not immediately implement your 6-2-1 defense from the beginning. I am pretty confident that if we had put your defense from the beginning the championship would have been ours. Thanks for helping to make this season successful.

Dear, Dave:
I coached the 4th grade Vikings of the NYFA last season using your system. Since we only had two weeks of three-days-a-week practices before our first game, we got off to a slow start. But after the kids perfected the system by the third game, we went 7-0 winning the remaining games by 30 points or better and shutting out those seven teams. It's a great system and I can't wait to see the Jet series in action.

Hey Dave
As you know I ordered your system two years ago as the "best youth football coaching recipe that I'd seen. I thought I'd let you know what has happened.

In our league we were thrown to the side as cast offs to a group of select players that were recruited from surrounding cities. We played what we got!

What came next shocked everyone. We went from laughing stock ("why do those idiots have them bent down like that....You are too bunched up!!!...you don't do enough calestenics or sprints!!! ...Do you have a back up offense?..... Isn't that offense about 60 years old?...) to Co county Champs finishing the regular season 8-1!The team we tied, by the way, was the select team from our community.

This year was more of the same. They took one of our best running backs and added it to the other team.... same result, we tied with them with one loss for the season and lost to them in Overtime. Even with the loss, we couldn't have been prouder. When we started 2 years ago, the other team slaughtered us in scrimmages and at the end we had one hell of a game and a fight to the finish with them and gained a lot of respect in our league.

Thanks again

Dave,
I wanted to let you know that I had tremendous success running your system, in my first year as a Head Youth Football Coach. I actually had experience coaching at the high school level previously, and was very tempted to try to run the offensive and defensive systems/schemes that I was familiar with from my high school coaching days. However, a friend of mine, who coached at the youth level, suggested that I investigate your system, and after doing so, I ultimately decided that your system was a much better fit, for this age level. Given that I had no experience with the Single Wing offense, I purchased your book and videos, and implemented your system in all facets of the game (Offense, Defense, and Special Teams).

I couldn't have been happier with the results. I coached a team of 7-8 year olds, all of whom were first year players, except for 3. In addition, the biggest kid on our team weighed 72 lbs, and our avg player weight was 59 lbs, in a league in which the Maximum weight limit was 95 lbs. Yet, in spite of the fact that we were small, slow, and inexperienced, we ended up going 3-0 in our Pre-Season Scrimmages, 9-0 in our Regular Season, and eventually suffered our only loss of the year, in our season ending Bowl game, against what was a physically/athletically significantly superior team.

During the course of the season, we had some truly mind boggling achievements, as outlined below. During our 3 Pre-Season scrimmages, we scored a cumulative 21 TDs, and gave up only 1 1. During our Regular Season (9 games), we scored 262 points and only surrendered 19 a. Keep in mind that in most of those games, the OL was carrying the ball in the second half, and we were trying NOT to score anymore 2. We Mercy Ruled 7-of-10 opponents 3. We Shut Out 6-of-10 opponents (not counting the times we let teams score via your "Special Play") a. We had 8 games in which our opponents never recorded more than 1 first down the entire game 4. Our O-Line ran the ball in half of our games, and Every Member of the team got the chance to run the ball on multiple occasions throughout the year

Beyond that, the kids had a lot of fun, and learned the basic fundamentals and principles of football, which is, after all, what it's supposed to be about at this level. Youth football, as you rightly point out, is very different from High School football, and with the guidance of your materials, I was able to appropriately adapt my coaching style, and techniques, to best fit this age level, while maximizing the fun and success of our team.

Thanks for putting together a great recipe for fun, learning, and success, at the youth level.
Regards,
Darren Somo

Dave.
I am the OC for the Melbourne Bulldogs Mighty Mite team. Our group of 9 and 10 year old kids came to practice day after day and week after week wanting to learn. With almost the same group of kids from our 2006 season that went 2-6 and didn't even make the playoffs, we needed that added edge. A couple of months before the 2007 season I saw you live at the Nike Youth Football Camp in Orlando. The 2007 season was a turn around to say the least. We went 12-1 winning the County Championship, the Super Bowl and went all the way to the State Finals before losing our only game of the season. The single wing offensive is as close to unstoppable as you'll ever find for youth football. We scored over 400 points in 2007. Our sub players played over half the game in 9 out of 13 games. That makes it fun for all.

Thanks a million Dave,

Dave,
I used your single wing offense last season and I will have to say it promised everything it said it would. We ended the season 5-2 and it was the best record in our league of any age group. Our average score was 24pts. 16 of my 20 kids ran the ball and 14 of them scored touchdowns.

Thank you for taking the time and putting this offense together. I appreciate it and my kids do as well.

Hello Dave,
I am the defensive coordinator for the Lakota Stallions 2nd Grade Blue Team. I used your defensive schemes that you taught us during your clinic in Cincinnati. I have to tell you it was a huge success. We made it to the Super Bowl and ended up with a 12-2 record. We only gave up an average of 6 points per game and no one scored over 8 points. I think it is the perfect defense for young youth football teams.

Hi Dave,
I am a firm believer in youroffense. I coach the Medina Wildcats 7-8 year old tackle team in Medina, OH. My team was 5-3 last year. That might not seem impressive, however 14 out of my 16 players never played tackle football before and we made the playoffs. I love everything about the your offense and can't wait to open the offense up more in '08 with Jet series. I will never go back to the Wing-T, the Single Wing keeps things simple. I am expected great things this year. Thanks for putting out your previous two DVDs. They were great.

Hope to meet you at a clinic sometime.

Dave,
I had purchased your book and videos early last summer in hopes of turning around a team that had lost every game in 2006 and scored only two TD's. We won our first game 21-0. The age group I had was sixth graders, mostly 11 year olds. We ended up going 8-1 for the season and our only loss was a 7-0 heartbreaker to a team that was better than us in almost every facet of the game at least on paper. Before going into that particular game I really didn't think we had a chance and hoped we wouldn't get ran of the field. We took the ball first and drove pretty effortlessly down the field but were stopped on a 4th and 4 and turned the ball over. If there was ever a game that was lost by a coach this was one of them. I realized I took the field expecting to lose. Even though I didn't let on to my kids it definitely influenced my play calling (became very conservative in just trying to keep things close). Needless to say I learned my lesson. Our little team mercy ruled 4 of our opponents (something that would we would never have dreamed of in previous years). I really can't say enough about your methodology for practice and I can't say enough about the single wing offense. Our players loved it and as we kept winning games it just became one of the most memorable times of my life. Thanks again.

I am most interested in this JET series of plays as I can see it as a very nice addition to the offense. Our little team scored with 18 sweep pass six times for touchdowns (all of which were over 50 yards and one being 90 yards). We threw very little but when we did it was usually a huge play. So I'm looking forward to do some things to spread defenses and go down field. Again I can't say enough about what your system did for our team.

Thanks,
Dell Frazier

Hi Dave,
I am the coach of a Junior Pee Wee team. We have a core group of boys who have played together for the last 3 years. The previous 2 years we were below .500 and ran a typical I formation offense. I picked up your system and was able to install you entire system including spinner, mouse and mesh series. We had 30 kids on our team of which 16 had never played football. We ran two full offenses in order to get everyone required playing time. Both offenses were effective and 8 different kids scored touchdowns during the season. We had a great year and finished in 4th place out of 34 teams in our conference.

Thanks for all your help.

Dave,
My name is Jim Shubert and I started with your system in the 7-8 year old group of youth football here in South Carolina last year. The year before our team did not win one game and it was very frustrating. We implemented the single wing last year and made the playoffs for the first time. We had much less talented athletes and still played every game very close.

Thanks also for your parent/player contracts. We used them both and I must say they were great. One of my coaches, who has coached over 8 years, commented that we really had a great group of parents. I mentioned that we were blessed with great parents, but setting expectations for everyone was key. We prayed before practices and games and let our parents know that we would be approaching things from a Christian perspective. Simply put we had a great year and we had several parents from other teams commenting they want their sons playing with us next year.

Warmest regards,
Jim Shubert

Hi Coach Cisar,
It's Coach Terry Hamilton here from Langley, British Columbia, Canada. I switched from John T Reeds Single Wing to yours this past season while coaching 9-10 year olds and managed 18 wins with only one veteran loaded team bettering us.

The majority of games we had to take our foot off the throttle because we had mercied the other team before half time. Your blocking scheme was easy to implement and for the kids to follow. Even though 4 of our 7 O linemen were first year age we dominated on game day.The wedge should be renamed the weapon and the 16 power, the sure thing.

Thanks Dave, you put together a great package.

Hey Coach,
Just wanted to let you know what a great season we had. We actually finished 9 and 2. We were an all 7 year old first year tackle team. The first three games we had some kids in the wrong positions. We won the first two 19 - 6 and 12 - 6. The third game we lost to the district Champion 19 -6. We went on to win the next four games 30-0, 36-0, 42-0 and 36 -0. We made it to the final four in a league of 36 teams. It was an awesome year full of laughs and "Zero" complaints from parents, lots of fun and lots of ministry to a non-Christian team! Thanks and thank You Jesus!

Dave,
The best way to describe our season was extremely competitive. Our club fielded 3 teams in the 7-8 year old division in the Fairfax County Youth Football League. This is not only the largest league in Virginia but one of the largest in the nation. We finished the regular season 5-2 and the other two clubs both finished 0-7. We only had 14 kids on our roster in an all-play league and only two kids who could run the ball. We were complimented by opposing coaching staffs and referees for being an extremely well-coached team. The system works.

Dave,
Just wanted to let you know how our season went this year running the single wing offense. I played midget and High school football and that is my back ground other than watching it on Saturdays and Sundays. I have had the pleasure of coaching my son going on 6 yrs now. This year I went to the single wing offense that I found on your website last year after being out coached in the Championship game in 2006. I had a team that had several really good players and 3 big time stand outs, but was simply out coached in the championship after going undefeated through the regular season.

We are the East Chatham Chargers a member of the Central Piedmont Football League in central North Carolina. I lost my stand out players going into the 07 season but I did have coachable players. Oh what fun we had this season! We played 6 regular season games and only gave up 1 Legit touchdown. We had three games our opponent did not get a 1st down.

We are one of the small counties in this league that takes every kid that signs up to play going up against some counties whom get to select their players. Our First round in the play-offs we were going up against the Giants of the league. The team that beat us in the Championship game in 06. I was still a very tuff game against a team that we had a lot of respect for we came out on top after 4 OT's!! This team knew what we were running and had very good talent so we went to the air and scored 4 touchdown passes in this game!At the end of the game the other coach was in tears when he told me we just broke a 24 game winning steak that these boy's had been on.

This was a 9-10 year old team and we had 8 players that scored touchdowns. I can't say enough how fun it is to watch these plays work and to here the comments from other coaches as well as the REFS!! 3 of our trips into the endzone the refs did not even know it had happened!!

Moving up to 11-12 next year and I can't wait!

Dave,
My brother and I have been coaching youth football at the 4th grade level for 15 years. We have had decent success, some Championships, some bad years. I purchased your program prior to the 2007 season and I was scared to death to change from my old offense (Wing T) to your Single Wing. Boy am I glad that I did. We went 9-0, scoring 356 points and allowing 6. We had so many people at our games, just to see this "crazy" offense, I could not believe it.

Many of our coaching philosophies matched yours, so the transition was quite simple, we were undersized and out manned on many occasions but, they could not stop us. It was a very fun and exciting season. From the small town of Aztec New Mexico the Aztec Apes would like to thank you very much for sharing.

Tony DiGiacomo

Dave,
We are moving up to 11-12 next year.We had some coaches telling us this isn't football you are playing hide an seek, we had some opponent parents telling us they never knew who had the ball and complimented us.The referee who officiated all of our games came up to us on the last game and congratulated us on how we ran our team and how we ran our offense and defense. He said that everyone in the league counted us out due to running the "weird offensive set" but that we proved everyone wrong. I tell you I felt like Joe Namath on the commercial he does on NFL network "We did it, We did it". We could not have done it without your excellent program. Thank you again for putting together such a wonderful package.

It was amazing to see all of the other coaches doing the traditional things and wasting precious time doing many Cal's and monkey rolls and not teaching much technique at all.

I would love to run this at the high school level. It would be very powerful and dominate the high school circuit.

Thanks Again,
Jeff Welch

Dave:
Sorry for the long email but it I think you will like what I have to share. After an agonizing season last year winning only 1 game, I purchased your book and DVDs in Nov 2006. My motivation was to establish a structure and scheme allowing our third year team to compete. The other coach and I studied your material relentlessly during the entire off season. Coming into this season we already had an idea of who would play TB, BB, etc. We have implemented your practice methods and UBSW.

Well, we are heading into week 3 and we are 2-0. Our team of 7-8 year olds comprised of 11 first years, 7 with 1 year experience, 6 with 2, and 3 with 3 years of previous playing experience have ran 83 plays in our first 2 games with the opponents running only 45. The wedge is awesome! The direct snap allows our guys to get the POA at least 4-5 seconds quicker. Our home run plays have been 31 Trap and 43 Reverse. We are just getting to the spinner series this week.

Anyone with a young program that is constantly playing against better football players (we are just as athletic, but the relative youth of our program does make us a bit more timid than the opposition who has been around for years) needs to look no further than our results as testimony of your research and advise. The best part is that unlike previous years, there is a sense of enthusiasm and interest on the part of the players, parents, and coaches of the other age groups (they have not adopted your methods). Excitement and interest makes everything (players, interest in coming to practice on time, community interest, etc.) is what make the overall experience worthwhile for everyone. Success does breed success.

Thank you for your dedication and I look forward to getting updated materials when they are available.

Hey Dave,
I'll bet you get hundreds of emails like this, but I just had to tell you about the results of our season. We are a 7-9 year old Mitey-Mite team in Wilmington, NC. Our team has been a perennial doormat, and for years we only won 1 or 2 games per season. After implementing your single wing offense and practice organization plan, we went from a 1-7 record last year to 6-1-1 this season. We had the smallest and lightest players in the 10 team league and we only had 5 kids who had ever played football before.

Other coaches and fans were amused and amazed by our "funny looking" offense. My Defensive Coordinator told me after the last game and team party that he had also been a skeptic and didn't think the offense would work. I stayed with the plan and we had the best season in many years. Furthermore, the kids and the parents loved the offense and are asking to play for me again next year.

Thanks for the recipe for success!

Dear Dave,
This past year I took over a football team that was winless (0-10) the previous year under different coaching. I implemented your single wing system this year and we went 6-3 in an 9yr olds A Division. Twenty years ago I started my organization in a small community and it has now become part of the largest youth program in the country( Suffolk county PAL). Since then I have won many championships and although I did not win one this year, going 6-3 with this particular group of kids it is quite an accomplishment to say the least. If not for the single wing we may have only won two games. For the first time in the past twenty years I am excited again about coaching.

Dave,
Your system was a great purchase for me; a 1st time football coach at the 9-10 year old level. We had alot of skeptics at first but after the third game of the season and coupled with some great pre-season scrimmage results we had all of our parents on board with this system. We had a lot of traditional football parents that were accustomed to heavy calisthenics drills, bullying drills such as bull in the ring, and with your system we showed them that you can have a very physical football team that can win football games with light technique focused practices and drills.

We had a great experience and I am so glad I made the investment in your program. We followed it to the script and it worked great. We went 6-1 this season. Every back on our team scored except.

Thanks again and keep up the good work! Best Regards,
Jeff Welch

Aloha Dave,
I want to formally thank you for all the work you put into this amazing youth football system! Going into this season, we were coming off a 3-9 and a 5-7 record the past two seasons. During those years, I coached defense alongside a guy who basically taught pushups, backpedals, and sprints. He felt that if he yelled a little more or a little louder, the team would get better. Although I absolutely love football, I had very little experience playing and even less as a coach. I am however, the type to research anything new that I am getting into. I wanted to be sure that my boys had a fighting chance this year, so shooting from the hip was out of the question. I wanted to do everything I could do (within my free time) to prepare the team.

I came across your website one night and read every word on every page. I was completely hooked on the concept of the single wing. I absolutely loved the idea of pounding the ball off-tackle no matter what the defense did.and the wedge was a completely new concept but very fascinating. I bought your book and I must have read through it at least 6 times! I also bought the coaches clinics and the practice organization dvds. I was a little unsure if the system would work for us. we play full contact 11 on 11 flag football with a few special rules..(try 20 yards for a first down)! Not only did it work, We Dominated!

The blocking rules were easily taught, and worked to perfection even though I had no more than 2 coaches at any given practice. We scored on almost every play in the book! The 16 power gave teams headaches, the wedge kept them off guard, and the spinners were so deceptive that they should have been illegal! The players absolutely loved the conditioning games, and would moan and groan when practice was over and they had to go home. The Ready - Focus trick was PRICELESS. I received several compliments on how well behaved the team was.

We ended up 11-2 losing a tough defensive struggle 0-6 in the State Championship Game! We out scored opponents 36 touchdowns to 8 and 237 points to 49, and we use a running clock with only 10 min quarters! Interest in the team is tremendous with several parents asking me to return next year. Even coaches from other teams have approached me about coming on I owe it all to you and a wonderful group of boys.

If anyone is considering this system..Buy it ..Study it...Use it. It is truly "Winning Youth Football" as the title declares. Thanks Dave!

Dave,
The Longwood Lions in Middle Island, NY were 7-3 this year, scoring 200 pts and giving up 68. "It just makes sense to take advice from a coach who actually gets results. Dave's record speaks for itself, so why reinvent the wheel? Just follow his directions and let the winning begin!"

Dave,
My name is Ramon Miranda and I am the Head Coach for the Hudson-Litchfield Jr. Midget Bears. These kids are 12 and 13 years old and have been running your system now for two years.I first learned of your system from another coach in our organization that has been running it for a couple of years with good success. So I went to the Glazier Clinics in Boston to see how you taught your system first hand.I love your coaching style and I fell in love with the system so much thatI bought all of your DVD's and came home and showed it to all of my coaches.Just for the record I used to be a die hard Power I and Wing I man.Our team is made up of two small towns and we are not known for being the fastest or the biggest but with your Single Wing system last year we were Division 1 Champions with a regular season record of 7-1.This year we ended up 7-1 again and we mercy ruled 6 out of the 8 teams in the first half of the game. Our state has a mercy rule that after you are ahead by more than 28 points they shut the scoreboard off.We even played a team that runs a different version of the Single Wing and beat them 30-0 in a Quarter Final game. That game was also over by halftime. What I found great about your system it was easy for me to learn it and then teach it to all of my coaches and all of my kids. With this system it allowed us to do many different things that we were not able to do in the past.It gave me the chance to let every kid on my football team the chance to run the ball at least once, it gave confidence to my team especially the 8 first year playersand it allowed my team to have fun and be successful. On behalf on the H-L Jr. Midget Bears and myself I want to say "Thank You" for doing a great job explaining a very effective offense.I can't wait to run it again next year!!!

Thanks,
Ramon Miranda

Dave - FYI, 2007 was our second year of running the offense. Our undersized team won our conference and made the playoffs, for the first time in the team's four year history. We have a huge league in Albuquerque . 28 teams in the 10 year old "Freshman" division and our team was one of the top three scoring teams, despite doing a lot to limit scoring . for example, every offensive lineman on our starting line ran the ball this season. We went 7-1 and beat 3 of the 4 teams that beat us in 2006. I recall reading a post of yours regarding your son's little league experience. It was a bad deal due to the complete lack of the effective practices. I truly believe that one of the main reasons your offense works so well is the approach to practice taught in the material. Thanks again . man I cannot believe we have to wait until August for another season! Don Miller

Dave,
2007 was my first ever season as a head coach (and my second year coaching ever).I own all of your materials and spent the entire Spring and early Summer studying them.

Our league plays 11-man flag football according to High School Federation Rules. My assistants and I took over a team of 34 boys age five, six and seven which had won 1 game in each of the last 2 seasons. After a lot of hard work from the boys and my AC's, we ended up going 4-3-3 using your offense and practice methods, but that's not the story...

Offensively, we ran Power, Counter, Sweep, Wedge and Sweep Pass.We went from hoping to bust a big play to methodically driving the ball downfield and controlling the clock. There were times the other team knew what was coming, but just could not stop us from gaining our 4 yards. We had 10 different players score touchdowns during the season and were able to get every one of our outgoing seven year olds meaningful carries. In the previous 2 seasons combined, you could count the number of players who carried the ball (let alone scored) on one hand. This season, all of the kids, even the smallest five year olds, felt like an integral part of the team... because they were. The same could not be said for previous seasons.

Last season, we had great difficulty meeting our 8 play minimum requirements with 34 players and a running clock. This year, using your system we had the minimum play requirement met in most games by halftime, though we continued to rotate players through the entire game.We were competitive in every game while getting all kids plenty of quality playing time, not just garbage time.To be honest, there were times I would look across the field and see other team's MPP's and feel sorry for them...

On 2 different occasions during the season I had opposing coaches compliment my boys on their blocking and the way they fired off the ball. I am especially proud of that. The kids earned those compliments with their hard work, but I also believe it was directly related to your system:

1. Your offense was easy for them to learn (remember, we're talking about 5,6,and 7 year olds here). Each player came to the line confident of his assignment, and having confidence allowed them to fire out hard and bring the action to the other guy.Heck, I even had a seven year old come back 2. Linemen were important... they were responsible for more than just "blocking the guy in front of you". 3. The blocking angles and double teams the Single Wing offense gave them negated the size advantages of our opponents (we were usually smaller and slower).Once our kids realized they had a "secret weapon" to handle any kid across from them, they feared no one (last year we had kids refusing to drive block the "big kid" across from them out of fear).

Our organization allows the parents to comment on the coaches via feedback surveys at the end of the season. Our team's "Practice and Game Organization" rating was 100% positive, and all other categories garnered a greater than 90% positive rating. The parents all thought I was a great coach, but the reality was, I simply followed the system outlined in your book and DVD's to the best of my ability. Most importantly however, all of my boys have told me they had fun and are coming back next year. That's really the only rating I worry about.

Thank you again for making yourself and your coaching materials available to youth coaches such as myself.I honestly believe we wouldn't have been as successful in teaching our kids how to play and love this game without them. There are 34 boys in NJ who owe their enjoyment of football, at least in part, to a Cornhusker whether they know it or not. With one year under my belt, now that I know what I don't know, I can start working toward next season.

Go Big Blue!
Sincerely,

Dear Coach Cisar,
I purchased your CD's and Book on the Single Wing offense just prior to the 2007 season. I was assigned as the Offensive Coordinator for a Youth Football Pee Wee program in Tampa, Florida ages 7-9, in 2007. In the 2006 season of which I was not a coach, and we were using a form of the veer offense, not your single wing. In 2006 we had 9 players who had played some form of tackle football. We won only one game by the score of 7-6. Our record was 1-10 and we managed to score only 4 touchdowns in 11 games. This year I was solely responsible for offense and though I suggested we implement your defensive scheme and strategies, our coordinator decided against it. As a result, defensively we did not stop anybody. Our greatest defense turned out to be your offense. To get to the point. We had only 5 returning players this season with any tackle football experience. 11 of our 28 players were 7 year olds and the rest had no experience playing the game. We scored 22 touchdowns on the season. Unlike typical offenses at this level, yours required that all the kids get involved and as a result the kids showed great enthusiasm and interest in the offensive side of the football. Though I have over 14 years of coaching experience I did as you recommended and followed your program not deviating from it one bit. The results was an improvement of 18 touchdowns with less experience players and talent.

Thanks for all help.

Hey Coach Dave,
Well I am sure you've received tons of success stories from this past football season. Well ours is a bit different. Being an assistant coach and offensive coordinator this year, I took it upon myself to look for an offense that was going to help us be more competitive. Well I came across your website about 3 weeks before the football season started. And I was sold on your system. Problem is I had to sell the system to our coaches. Despite our team going 0-11 the previous year, we retained 17 out of 23 kids. To make a long story short, we started 0-5 only using the single wing on certain drives. After our 5th loss I decided the single wing was going to make or break us. So we went to the Single Wing full time and ended up winning 6 out of our last 8 games and those 2 losses were by less than 10 points. It will definitely be our focal point offense next year. Thank you so much for saving my sanity and our kids hope for success in the future.

Dave
I ran the single-wing offense with many of your plays this year and took a very small, but tough, 3rd and 4th grade team to our youth league championship undefeated and 8-0. We ended up losing the championship 6-0 but was very proud of what all we accomplished this year as a team and much of it was due to the single wing. I had a chance to be a part of four very successful single-wing offense teams when I played football at Denison University with Coach Keith Piper back in the 80's. It was a very special championship game for me as we ended up playing the game on the Denison University football field and brought the single-wing back to that field for the first time in 20 years. Pretty cool!

Thanks for all of your insight and advice as I have found your website and products to be very useful. It's just funny how people outside of my team react to this offense. I have found it to be somewhat comical at this point.

Happy Holidays!

Dave,
Our 5,6,and 7 year old flag team just finished up the season at 10-2 winning our league championship21-0. The coaching staff consisted of five rookie coaches including myself.

I purchased your system last spring when I found out that I would be taking over my son's team that went 2-8 last year. Having run a simple version of the single wing when I was young I went in search of a more in depth version and after some comparison chose yours due to the plethora of materials included.

Well late July came and we started practice. I went by the book evaluating talent the first week. Then came time to implement the offense. The looks, giggles, and stares were plenty as well as questions from the assistants. I called a meeting with my coaches, we watched the DVD's and they were sold.

After our Jamboree we were the talk of the league and everyone was trying to figure us out. Late in the year we avenged our two losses. One of those was against an undefeated team on the last game of the regular season.

That game was a real nail biter due to some heavy pressure on our center by their nose guard. As we were going to be playing them again in the playoffs I e-mailed you with my concerns. That same night you wrote me back with suggestions, I checked our game film and you were right on the mark as to the problem. In practice we corrected the mistake and went on to win that playoff game handily,19-0. After that game I was approached by a cross town Pop Warner coach who asked me if I was running Dave Cisar's single wing. I answered yes and he said it looked great. I took it as great compliment.

Next season I will be back with my flag team and going for two in a row. In addition the 8-9 tackle team who was runner up in his league asked if I would assist him next year because he felt if he was running my offense he easily could have won the league. So I guess next year will be double duty and double the fun.

Dave, Thanks for Sharing your success with the rest of us.

Hey Dave,
I know you like to keep up with your students. :)

We implemented your offense and special teams. We went 7-1 on the season and made it to the championship game (lost it though). Last season we were a 3-5 team.

The games were 32 minutes long. Here were our regular season stats: Averaged over 25 points a game (never score less than two TDs) Over 250 yards rushing per game (Had 3 games with over 300 yards rushing) Had five different players score touchdowns Recovered 25% of our kickoffs (huge game changer)

If you decide to run a clinic in Dallas, please let me know. I would be interested in attending.

Thanks again for the help!! Have a great Christmas.
Stephen

Good afternoon Dave,
Three years ago I went to the Single Wing Offense and had 4 - 2, and 3 - 3 records with it. The program that I am the Assistant Director of ensures that all of our teams are equal as far as talent and size, unfortunately when we start playing against the other teams in our league we are often playing teams from other city's that are stacked, something we refuse to do. After that 3 - 3 season I started looking for more information regarding the Single Wing, and that's when I found and ordered your book.

I coached my 13th season of youth football last year and what a season it was. I implemented your upbeat pace in practice, limited our sprints and did very few hitting drills, focusing instead on fit and freeze drills and fundamental drills. We limited scrimmaging and instead spent the time perfecting each and every one of the Sainted Six plays.

We finished the season 6 - 0 and we only had six points scored against us all year long. I believe limiting the hitting during the week really made them hungry for contact come game time, as my team just swarmed to the ball. After the first weeks game; a 36 - 0 victory; my league director and myself made sure to schedule the toughest team for my team to play for following week and we just rolled and judging from the comments we received from the opposing teams coaches there wasn't any doubt as to the best team in the league.

Thank you for taking the time to write this book and for being a great example as to how youth football coach's should conduct themselves and for clearly spelling out what a youth football coaches job is, to build teamwork and ensure that the players have fun playing a sport that we so dearly love.

You are an awesome resource. Thank you and keep up the good work. My name is Dean Mathews and I met you at the 2006 Nike Coach of the Year Clinic in Virginia. I have all of your Dvds and your book.

I run the single wing exclusively. I have incorporated all of your plays and many of your formations. We had an awesome season this year, we went 9-0 and won our league championship.

I remember listening to you at the clinic and a couple of high school coaches that ran a single wing and getting all fired up for this season.

Thanks to coaches like you and your willingness to share i have been able to be successful as a youth coach. Thank you and keep up the good work!!

Hi Dave!
Just a note to thank you for all the great info on your Winning Youth Football DVD/CD set.

I coached 5th graders at Oak Hill School in Nashville, Tennessee this past season; out of 27 boys we only had 4 that had played any organized tackle football before.

By league rules we were forced to break out into 2 squads. We had a lot of great kids, but several who were very timid to say the least.Your Single Wing offensive system, Wide Tackle 6 defense and special teams enabled us to place those weaker kids at positions where they could be successful. It was very satisfying to see those boys confidence grow as the season progressed.

The boys absolutely LOVED the Single Wing offense and they picked up on the "sainted six" very quickly. We also installed the SW spin series & I was AMAZED how quickly the boys picked it up!We had 12 different players score touchdowns during the season & the school administration & parents loved our system also!

I heartily endorse the Winning Youth Football program. If you are a youth or middle school coach looking for a system that enables you to learn, have fun, teach excellent fundamentals, get a lot of players involved and WIN, then go no further.this is the program for you! Thank you so much for your youth football program & all that you do for youth sports.

Sincerely,

Dave,
Prior to the beginning of that season I conducted a lot of research into finding a new offense.

Hello Dave,
I have always been passionate about football my whole life. I played college football at Auburn University. Last year (2007) was my first year as a Head Coach for the "Eagles" 9-10 year old boys. And just before the season started I was searching hard for something different to implement. I ran across your Single Wing Offense and I knew this was it. Without hesitation I ordered the material so that I could teach myself your system before "springing it" onto the town of Smiths Station in Alabama. I got your material just 4 days before the seasons first practice started.

So I put a plan together to get my team ready. We won our first 3 games!! We came in 3rd place and we were the ONLY team to give a loss to the Division Champs. Taken into account that this was my first year, the time constraints, 77% of my boys were 9 years old, and that we were the smallest team in the league,,,,I am Super Proud of how we finished!

Everyone associated with the youth league is talking about my crazy offense. Next year we will be the team to beat I can guarantee you that. But the most important thing that I saw happen to my team is that the boys had fun and lots of it.I did not have a single player quit my team. I have never

Your system is an overall absolute must have.

Again thanks for the Awesome youth football system,
Jason Taylor -Head Coach "Eagles"
Panther Youth Football League
Smiths Station, Alabama

The high school coach even made comments about how he really likedall of the motion in the mouse series.

At the very beginning everyone could see how easy it was for the kids to receive the snap and to eliminate muffed center exchanges.

Dave,
My name is Tom Fees, I coach 5th and 6th graders in Findlay, Ohio.

I had coached about 10 years ago with an "old school" coach that used a lot of intimidation and physical contact in his practice along with running kids off, you know, the way most of us over 40 were taught. When I was presented with an opportunity to coach my son I didn't really feel that this was the best way to make most of his friends fall in love with a game I LOVE. I began researching youth football topics on the internet and found "Winning Youth Football."

Winning Youth Football had everything I was looking for, a great easy to teach offense, we had 18 different ball carriers (out of 24 total) with blocking schemes and adjustments. A solid defense, we had 7 interceptions and gave up 6 TD's in 8 games. When you can keep the opposition to that low of a point total it is very easy to exceed your minimum play requirements' Our team went 6-2 this season.

As I mentioned earlier I had some coaching experience and I knew I didn't want to copy what I was used to even if I did I knew I would be rusty. I was very excited to see sample practice plans with time schedules and what to talk about during active water breaks. I also look forward every month to new coaching tips through the Winning Youth Football web site.

Another point, All of the teams in our league started with 24 players, we were the only team that finished with 24 healthy players. I attribute this to your practice methods. Most of our teams lost 3 to 5 kids due to injury or lack of playing time, your practice methods allow the kids to develop confidence at their own pace and keeps them interested and coming back, who knows when that 59 lb.corner with great technique will blossom into a great player.

Thanks Dave, without your materials I would be just another dad running some plays and running less talented players off.

Regards,
Tom Fees

12/1/2007 Dave,
Just finished the second year running your SW. We were 6-3 last year and league champs and a perfect 8-0 this year. We ran mostly power with some spin later in the season.

Thanks for another great year,
Dave Petrie

12/1/2007 Dave,
I read through your WYF CDROM and learned a whole lot and applied it to our team philosophy. We went 12-0 gave up under 28 points and scored just under 400 points with a pretty tough schedule. I'm happy to say we won the State Championship here in Tennessee

Thank you,

Dave,
I purchased your CD "Winning Youth Football a Step-by-Step Plan" in February of this year.In Chapter Two you describe the common Youth Coach mistakes. It felt like you were at every practice and game I coached last year. You should know we ended the season 0-8 (8-9 yr old) and every problem that occurs in an unsuccessful program was there.

This year, the organization did not ask me to leave; ironically they asked me to Step-up and coach the 10-11 yr old team (Crazy right?!?!?).I accepted the challenge and installed your methodology and practice plan with very little deviation.

At the start of the 2007 season; every team on schedule looked at us as an "easy win". Well, we ended the season 7-3 and conference runners-up. Wish I could have told you we won the Championship, but I believe we won much more RESPECT. Every team in the league talked about our "funny-looking" offense.

I just wanted to take this time to thank you.
Very Respectfully,
Ernest Slaton

11/28/2007 Coach Cisar,
I was fortunate enough to be able to coach 2 teams this year (one as head coach and one as offensive coordinator).

My 6 yr old team was winless as 5 yr olds last year with a different coach. Only 5 players returned from that team and I had 14 brand new kids added in the mix that had never played tackle football before. I installed your SW offense/methodologies/practice schedule with this team and was absolutely thrilled with the results. We averaged 27 points per game and were Division Champs this year. There is no way we would have been as successful without your Single Wing program.

As Offensive coordinator for the 8 yr old team, we had only 2 returning backs with any experience, your SW offense helped us win without a legitimate "speed threat" in the backfield. Your SW offense gave us the ability/scheme needed to beat other more athletic teams in our league. This team also won the Division championship in their age group. In fact, our 2 Single Wing teams were the only teams from our park that won their Division. By the way, we were also the only 2 teams in our park that ran the single wing offense. Just a coincidence? Not a chance...thanks for all of your help!

Coach Williams

Coach,
I purchased your book and DVDs last spring and studied the materials throughout the summer. In the fall, we applied your Single Wing offense with our 11-14 year old "non-travel" youth footballteam and ended up scoring more points than any team in our 50+ team league. We ran the Sainted Six along with the Mouse and Spin series as well. Our homerun plays were consistently the Mouse 47 Sweep and Spinner 32 Wedge.

On defense, I must confess that we strayed and tried to run a youth version of the 33 Stack. This did not work well and we eventually went to your Wide Tackle 6 and had much better results. Our record was 5-3 but I have to think our record would have been even better if we had started out with the WT6 in the first place. Nevertheless, this was my first winning season as a Head Coach and I owe much of it to your instruction.

But besides having a winning record for the first time, I am more proud of the fact that we did it by sticking to the much lighter practice schedule you laid out in the manual...3 practices a week before the season and just 2 per week during the season. In our league, this is somewhat radical, but it was possible due your practice methodology.

More importantly, though, this practice schedule allowed my players to keep up with homework and I was able to sleep better at night than previous seasons. Football was far more of a joy this year than ever. In short, I am a practitioner and believer in the system.

Hi Dave,
Thanks so much for your book, it's been a valuable resource for our Youth Football program this past year. All of our teams in 2007, ran your Single Wing system. We only won three games total in 2006, with 4 teams. As a brand new program, this past season, with 7 teams, we won many more games, and placed two of our teams in the playoffs. We did this mostly with 1st & 2nd year players, and almost all newbie youth football coaches. Again, don't think we could have done it this quickly, without your book as a guiding resource.

What Coach Dave Cisar has done is taken years of a highly successful Youth Football program and culled it down into a coach manual. He has taken those years and developed an organized, methodical, systematic, well structured system. In developing his system, "Winning Youth Football a Step by Step Plan", Dave has became the "coach's coach". His system will help you become a better coach.

If you're a new coach, Coach Cisar's books and DVDs are more than X's and O's. His system walks you through the pre-season, what type of players you want, how to evaluate your players and how to organize your practices. Dave takes you through installation of the program, game day organization, game day adjustments. He will teach you the fundamentals of football blocking, tackling and ball handling. As coaches, we all make mistakes, Dave's do's & don'ts on coaching are so valuable, because you get to learn what to do and what not to do, not through trail and error, but through his experience.

If you are a seasoned coach, I promise you, that you won't find a more detailed, organized book, on football.Dave's record speaks for its self and Dave's system will help you be a better coach. You'll be better organized; you'll eliminate the things that waste time in your practices. He will make you think about those things that are considered the "fine art of coaching", such as: "in game" adjustments, the no huddle system, signaling and clock management.

As the editor of the Single-Wing Sentinel, I have study football and I can honestly say that I have not seen a system that is this thorough, so "new coach" friendly, so organized. I can say without hesitation, "Winning Youth Football a Step by Step Plan" will help you win!

Dave, just wanted to give you our year end results Our final record was 8-1 and lost in the championship game. Using your offense, we averaged 34 points a game and led the league in yards per game, and ran 3 plays to our opponents 1 on average. The most effective play for us was the wedge play, we busted off huge gains right up the middle on the wedge play especially with spinning action and direct snap to the blocking back. On offense, we only had two negative plays all season. On defense we held our opponents to an average of 9 points a game and posted 3 shut outs during the season, and recovered 53% of our onside kicks. We had several players with a handful of touchdowns on offense and even some of sub's (three) with 2 touchdowns or more.

Coach Dave:
I can't thank you enough for all you have given to youth football and your McDonalds franchise approach to explaining how we implement it. In just our second year we took your program and installed it to a T and went to an incredible 18-0 this season. That is 2 Non-Conference games 4 Regular season games a total of 9 games with jamborees in a double elimination tournaments in which we won and then 3 playoff games and not just won them but mercy ruled them all after the 3rd quarter. We not only played every kid with your system we also let each kid run the ball in a couple of games.

Here are our point totals:For------Against
Non Conference and Season 191 - 26
Jamborees 1 and 2 125 - 40
Post Season 100 - 0
Total Points and Allowed 416 - 66

Ended the season with a City Championship. We won tonight 36-0 and ended after 3 quarters, thanks again coach.

Dear Dave,
In only the second year of implementing your system, we went undefeated(10-0) in the regular season. This in a very competitive Orange Bowl Youth Football League called the Miami Extreme! We won our first and second round playoff games defeating the previous years champs in the latter. In doing so we qualified for our Super Bowl. Unfortunately we fell short and lost there. We had the opportunity to go to Nationals in Daytona Beach over this past Weekend and I am very proud to say that we finished runner ups against an older and heavier team in the 13 yr old category. We won one game and lost one in the last play of the game. I can't tell you how grateful I am of having gotten your Plan! The core of this team went 0-8 just 4 years ago! This year: 12-2 District Champs, Super Bowl runner-ups, Nationals runner-ups.

And last but not least praising God all the way through! What else could you ask for? God Bless You and your family! All the best throughout this holiday season.

Dave-
We ended up 8 and 2 and the 2 teams that beat us went to the super bowl ( we have 25 teams in our league) we lost those 2 games by a total of 12 points to lose by 4 to the super bowl champs. In short, we did more with less talent than any other team. I was selected to coach one of the all star teams and3 practices later with 18 new kids won 27-0 against tough competition-- and all the new boys loved your system.

Thank you - you made our season a great one.

Hello, coach I just wanted to report the results of our season using the your single wing system. I coached a Mighty Mite team (6-8) years old and we averaged 30 points a game gave up less than a touchdown on defense. This was my second year using the offense and we were extremely successful. We also ran so much we put in a pass to the weak side end which resulted in big gains as the opposing teams moved quickly to stop our 16 power. We had a 9-1 season and the kids had fun. The refs often commented how we were the most disciplined, focused team in the league. I'm going to try to get to the coaches clinic in Baltimore. See you there.

Be Blessed

11/20/2007 Dave,
This was the first year for our team running the single wing offense. A friend handed me a DVD of your offense to view and it looked like a lot of fun to run so I purchased a copy of your book. I was impressed that many of your thoughts on practice, organization and preparation mirrored ours. We decided to become a single wing team. We didn't run your defense.

I coach 6th grade (11 and 12 y/o) at a small private school and the team consisted of 16 players. Only 3 of our team had played football before. Numbers wise we are the smallest team in the league, most teams in our league have approximately 30 players (the usual league power house actually selects from a talent pool of over 100 kids). Talent wise we were about average with a couple of real athletes and a couple kids who would have better results playing in the band. We had three "striped" players. We had three weaker players and we rotated them on offense at LE and LG.

By game 3 the team we really starting to click and we had installed the full spin series. Results 21-0. By the fourth game of the season our spin series was becoming our bread and butter, The team ran it to perfection and the other teams had no clue how to defense it.. Game 4 results 35-14We would not lose a game the rest of the season. We finished with a 9-1 record. The team averaged 34 points per game and allowed 6. We played an undefeated Wing-T team in the Championship and beat them 34-7.

Every player on the team who was eligible to carry the rock scored at least one time during the season. While many of the parents were a little skeptical of our "crazy offense" they all supported it. I really don't have any parent horror stories, only a minor one. I loved the single wing and will run it again next year. The full spin series has to be one of the most beautiful plays in all of football. The team took great pride in running the single wing successfully and being unique. We are the only single wing team in the league and by seasons end we were gathering a rather large crowd of spectators who wanted to see the "crazy offense".

Coach "Ice"

Dave,
I was a first time coach and coaching3RD grade team and used your system. We had a great season and look forward to next. Everything we implemented from your system worked great . Things we didn't do that we will do next season 1) run the no huddle - all the experienced coaches told us you can't effectively do it. 2) Spend more time evaluating talent during the first week using your "game" methods. 3) Figure out how to implement the main points of your defense under our local rules. We lost a heartbreaker in the semi-finals to end a great year.

Thanks for all you do.

11/15/2007 Dave,
I saw you speak at the Orlando Nike Coach of the Year Clinic. Shortly after, I ordered your single wing offense book and dvd's. This season was amazing and still going. We went 11 - 0 winning the County Championship and the Superbowl. Our offense averaged 38.5 points a game and like you told me it could have easily been 60 points a game. Our league has a 4 play rule so all players get a chance to play. The 4 play players on our team got to play half the game in 7 of our 11 games. As you know that makes it fun for the all the kids as well as keeping the parents as happy as you can. This is obviously a very high powered explosive offense that was impossible to stop. I enjoyed coaching this year more than ever. I was the OC and Offensive line coach. Watching those holes open up so wide was great.

The Palm Bay MM coach that ordered from you last year was at our Superbowl game and I enjoyed sharing single wing talk with another happy customer of yours. Thanks a million Dave, great talent goes a ways but great coaching and great talent goes all the way. I'll keep you informed on our State Title run.

Dave,
Staten Island Pee Wee Football 8-9 yr old Div Champs!!!! Thanks Coach Cisar for all your help this year. I have all of your materials and attended a Mega Clinic when you were in NY. I can't say enough good things about your program and your availability to answer any questions regarding the material you produce. Our team led the league in offense scoring over 300pts in 12 games in a very competitive league. We were not very big or very fast and were made up of mostly 8yr olds and this was our 1st yr running your version of the Single Wing offense.

Anyone who is serious about coaching football owes it to themselves and their team to take a look at your materials. Even if you don't run this offense, your ideas on Defense, blocking, special teams and every other aspect of football are right on.

Thanks again Coach you share in this Championship with us.

Dave,
This was my fifth year coaching 7-9 yr olds and my fifth running single wing. I purchased your material at the end of the 2006 season and I was simply amazed. I used your system for the first time this year and I have to say it is far superior to any other I have used. I started the season with nine 7 yr olds out of 16 kids. Only one running back had any experience. We were the youngest and least experienced team in the league and went 5-2. We beat a team 16-0 that had absolutely huge kids.. Two of their players were 9 yr olds weighing 193 and 212 lbs. They were not your usual tubs of butter either.

The practice methodology that you employ and teach in your book is in and of itself a godsend to a youth football coach. Your offensive system is better suited to the younger players and really does produce results. I recommend your materials to anyone who is even thinking about coaching a youth football team. I spent four long seasons trying to perfect and teach what took me only a few nights of reading your book and watching the DVD's to fully understand. They were successful seasons but could have been twice as good if I had your materials. Thanks for giving so much to youth sports and us coaches.

Dave,
I have been coaching 30 years, and have enjoyed many successful seasons, but I have to say that we have never had so much fun as we did this year using your Single Wing system. We ended our season 8-2. We got beat by the same team twice, The Meriden Raiders, and the second time it was for the State Championship in Connecticut. We got beat 18 - 6 by a far superior team. This team has been to the National Championships in Florida for the past 4 years in a row. They just have a great program.....

We scored 360 points on offense and gave up 60. We shut out 5 teams and played every game we won (8) under the mercy rule. We had 8 running backs this year and everyone of them scored multiple touchdowns. The kids had a blast learning this system and playing it. We even let a couple of lineman play at the Blocking Back position and they scored on the 31 trap. That play was definitely our "go to" play when we wanted something special to happen.

The kids really had fun with this offense. Every practice was fun because of the games we played that we learned from you. I purchased your system from your web site and am so happy I did. Every thing was very easy to learn and teach. Your videos were great and easy to understand. We are looking to improve our UBSW and are interested in this Jet Series to open it up a little more. Looking forward to seeing and implementing it. Maybe next season we can beat Meriden.

Thanks for all you do.

Dave,
We just finished our season with an 8 - 2 record. We had 6 players move up from 2 teams last year that had a combined record of 1 - 18 - 1. Three of the assistant coaches also moved up with these 6 players. Originally we planned on using the Dave Cisar's Single Wing as our offense however due to personnel issues we went another direction..

Since we had 19 first year players and our average team weight was less than 80 pounds in a 105 pound league we kept the 6 - 2 defense in your book and used many of your practice drills, and games to keep things interesting and followed his practice schedule to install our systems. We went into our 1st scrimmage with 2 offensive plays and one of them was the Wedge using your implementation system and adapting it to the double wing. We had 6 TD's in our 1st scrimmage and 3 of them were with the Wedge. Using the 6 - 2 defense in your book we went undefeated in our division and lost in the semi-finals to the eventual conference champion. Our defense gave up 50 points over a 10 game schedule.

We would see other teams in our organization doing up to 30 minutes of stretching and agilities where our warm-ups were done in 5 minutes using your system. By the time they were done warm-ups we had already completed tackling drills, special teams and were breaking into offensive groups. The assistant coaches who moved up with their son's were amazed how much we could accomplish in a 2 hour practice and how busy the players were and that the players would show up at practice about 45 minutes early because they enjoyed practice. Later the coaches admitted they were skeptical about how we were going to accomplish all that was planned but after seeing your practice methodology in action they were convinced in the process.

Maybe I should have used your entire package we might have gone 10 - 0 instead of 8 -2. Dave, thank you for what you do to help youth coaches. I just wish your book was out when I started coaching six years ago.

Coach -Dave,
We suffered a heartbreaking loss in the Championship game 6 - 0. Our guys dominated between the 20's but two turnovers crushed our chances. Over all a great season and an accomplishment that I am very proud of. I want to thank you for making this information available and sharing your experience and knowledge with me. The information in your plan was a real benefit to our team. The parents and kids gave me a standing ovation at our banquet yesterday. That tells me that they understood the difference between our philosophy with the kids and what they were seeing from other teams. Not just X's and O's, but sportsmanship, team work, prayer, school work, etc. I have already had 2 calls from parents from other teams that want to bring their kids to our organization next year.

When we started the year I had 29 kids. Of the 29, 17 were 7 years old or younger (I had 4 six year olds that I didn't have the heart to turn away) none of the 17 had ever played organized football. Of the remaining 12 kids only 4 were light 9 years olds. Of the remaining 8, only 4 had played football. This was a real Rookie team.

Our final record was 8-2 and we played for a Championship. Pretty good results for a Rookie coach and team.

Thanks again for your support during the season.

Thanks so much for the DVD's, we had a great year. This past Saturday we won the Greater East Texas PWFL Superbowl against an undefeated and unscored upon team. We drove about 80 yards the only time we had the ball in the first half before being stopped inside the 10 (a holding call forced a long 4th down play). We ate up almost the entire half with that drive. In the second half we scored to win the game. We ran wedges, 16 power, 43 reverse, 31 trap and the spinner series. In one early season scrimmage we had 8 different kids score td's.

Aloha Coach Dave,
I want to extend a huge thanks to you for taking the time to develop such a marvelous system. We implemented your system to the letter with some minor changes due to slightly different rules. I don't know if you remember, but I inquired earlier in the season whether the system would work in a flag league. Well it does; last year we went 3-10. We just won our last game of the season on Saturday putting us at 9-1. The 1 loss was a real circus. Overall, we scored 28 touchdowns and gave up 7.. out scoring our opponents 185-43. Our boys had a blast, the parents were all happy, and other families began coming to watch us play. Thanks again Dave, and I'll update you after the playoffs!

Dave,
I want to thank you for helping our program this year. First off, we play in Western NY for the Chili Lions in the Pee Wee division ( 11 and 12 year olds ).. Last year we were 2-5. I didn't have a premier back. I was running Pro's and Wishbone. Without a stud back we were 2 yards and a pile of dust. Coming into this year I knew we were going to have the same situation. I searched the internet hoping to find something that could help. That's when I found you! I implemented your system and our team led our league in scoring. We finished in 2nd place and made it to the State tournament. People rolled their eyes when they seen us practicing in August and probably thought I'd lost my mind. They don't think I'm crazy now. You did a great job explaining how to implement everything so the process to a new system went smooth.

Thanks again, Coach Lou Longo P.S.

Dave ,
Just wanted to take a minute to let you know that we used your system for the first time this year . We play in the Mid-Ohio Youth Football League in Wood County , West Virginia . We used it with our 8 - under team and went 10 - 0 using this offense . If you need any game film for this age I will gladly give it to you .

Thanks, Jim Cox

Hello Dave,
This is Randell Hubbard, Coach of the Burnside 6 and 7 year old Pee Wee Generals. I watched my son play the past 2 years on the Pee Wee's, and his first year they may have won 3 games and last year they only won 1 game the entire season. It was very demoralizing to the entire Burnside Program. So, fans asked me to coach the Pee Wee's this year and I accepted. I have never played organized Football in my life.

So in the summer I started researching Youth Football and that's when I came upon your site. I purchased your Winning Youth Football on CD, The Perfect Practice on CD and 2006 game film on CD. I totally loved how in depth but yet simple all the material was. I then showed my assistant and they fell in love with the system. We ran our program by the book and we couldn't be prouder of our Pee Wee's. We Finished the season with 8 wins and 3 losses. In our Southern Division Championship Game we came up 11 seconds short of going to the Super Bowl as our opponent scored their game winning touchdown with 11 seconds to go, (Boy What A Game!!). We still went to the Super Bowl and won the consolation game 32 to 0. We were the talk of the town as Coaches began to fear us, Coaches now come to me and tell me what a fantastic job I was doing with this team and that they used to pencil Burnside in as an automatic win by 50 points but now we have became a strong contender.

Dave, I just wanted to thank you for sharing your Winning Youth Football Coaching program. We had an explosive offensive averaging 30 plus points a game and a real solid Defense only allowing an average of 9 points a game. Not bad for a team that only had 5 returning players and 12 completely new players that had never played football before.

I would strongly suggest that anyone thinking about purchasing your program to not just buy the book but also purchase your DVD's, as they really break everything down for you in an easy to learn step by step procedure. Once again I want to say "thanks" for helping me bring back the Football Pride to our Burnside School kids, parents and fans.

I'm already excited

Dave,
Good Morning! I'm Robert Smith, Defensive Coach for the Calvert County Maryland, Prince Frederick Eagles, 65lb-A team. We were exposed to your coaching philosophy by another of your subscribers, Chris Floria. He wrote to you after his success last season w/the Prince Frederick Eagles, Pee Wee-A team. You were kind enough to include a letter of his in the latest release of your CD.

Myself and one of the other assistant coaches (on the CC line) both purchased your "Winning Youth Football-A Step by Step Plan" CD. We eventually met w/our head coach to discuss implementing the single wing earlier in the year. He was hesitant at first but eventually adopted your offensive strategy (based largely on our feedback and on the success of Chris Floria's team).

Our team finished w/5 wins and 3 losses during the regular season. We qualified for the playoffs as the 4th place team and eventually went on to win the 65lb-A championship! Our success was directly attributable to the single wing described in your writings! We played good defense and kept teams off the field using your sound offensive fundamentals; particularly during our playoff games. After our success, I'm already looking forward to next season using the single wing and your site :)

On behalf of the Prince Fredrick Eagle's 65lb-A team, I thank you very much for your time!
Thank you sir!

This was the first year for our team running the single wing. I purchased a copy of Dave's book. I was impressed that many of Dave's thoughts on practice, organization and preparation mirrored ours.

First game of the season we lost 12 - 20. Part of the problem was we were just not ready to play and since it was nearly the entire teams first game ever I think they were surprised by the speed and hitting involved.. We did not have a Wedge installed for our first game and it really hurt us. I thought it was a silly play when I first read about it. But we did have 22 Wedge installed for game 2, which we won 21-7. I have since become a big fan of the Wedge. By game 3 the team was really starting to click and we had installed the full spin series. Results 21-0.

By the fourth game of the season our spin series was becoming our bread and butter, The team ran it to perfection and the other teams had no clue how to defense it. It also helped that our FB was maturing into a real stud. Our trap play sucked so we abandoned it at this time. Game 4 results 35-14. We would not lose a game the rest of the season. We finished with a 9-1 record. The team averaged 34 points per game and allowed 6.We played an undefeated Wing-T team in the Championship and beat them 34-7.

Every player on the team who was eligible to carry the rock scored at least one time during the season.

Dave,
Just a quick note of thanks for your guidance this year. I am a first year head coach for a group of 7 & 8 year olds. I was "roped" into the job because they had nobody willing to accept the position. I had to recruit the assistant coaches and ended up being the only coach without a kid on the team. We ran your practices and program to the letter. In the beginning the coaches, parents and players thought I was nuts. In the end...well you know the rest. Pulling guards, no huddle offense, no QB, "shotgun" formation, short practices (most of the parents told me that couldn't be done, by the way. I reminded them of that at our banquet this past Saturday). 11 different kids scored 34 TD's, and all with 7 & 8 year olds with only 6 (out of 31 total) that ever played before. I got more offers from "assistants" to help me next year than I can use. Please post your clinics as soon as possible on your site so I can sign up. I'm now a disciple, student of the game and fan of youth football. I'm not sure who had more fun, me or the kids.

Thanks again,
Bill Stoots

Coach,
Well our year is finally over. I've got to thank you for all of your help along the way. We just won the Superbowl with our 9 & 10 year olds with a score of 13 -6. We had two other touchdowns called back in the game but the defense held twice. We held once on the goal line and again to get us the ball back on their 20 yardline with 2 minutes left in the game and a 7-6 lead. On fouth down we threw 18 sweep pass for the last score. This is from two teams that combined over the last 2 years has only won 4 out of 41 games. We finished the season with a record of 10-3. We beat two of the teams who beat us early in the year in the playoffs including the only undefeated team in the league. Again thanks for all of your help and I am very interested in seeing more details about your jet series. We used our own version of it to great success in the game before last, but it could probably have been better.

Thanks,
D S, Alabama

Good Morning Coach,
Our regular season has ended and I just wanted to take the time and say THANK YOU! I have been coaching for the past 5 years and in 90% of our games we are overmatched in size and athleticism; even though we are small we are disciplined and hard-nosed. My teams in the past have managed to finish in the middle of the pack but have never been able to beat the perennial powerhouses; until now. We just finished with a record of 7-0 and will be playing in the 11-12 year old championship game in Cramton Bowl We outscored our opponents 198-26 and crushed the powerhouse teams. They are still trying to figure our who has the ball!! Non of this would have been possible if it were not for the time and energy that you spent in compiling the information in your CD's, DVD's and BOOK. It was the best $ 200.00 that I have ever spent, PERIOD! Thank you again and God Bless You.

Hey Dave,
I'll bet you get hundreds of emails like this, but I just had to tell you about the results of our season.

In fact, one of my assistant coaches came to me after the second game and wanted to move the "quarterback" under center and give me a whole list of plays that "would work".

Hi Coach-
My belief is that our responsibilities as coaches extend beyond teaching football. I coached a 7-year old tackle team this year and looked to your book for guidance after coming to the realization that the football I learned in High School and College was likely not applicable for boys in their first year of pads. I followed your book for 90% of what we did this year and we were undefeated. But more than that, your CD clearly set an undertone of integrity and class. When the season was over, parents were thanking me for integrity and class more than the wins.

Best Regards,
Brad Hunt

Dave,
I found you on line in late winter or early spring and ordered your whole package. I coach Mighty Mites (7,8 & 9 yr. olds) at North Colony Pop Warner in Latham, New York. We have a coaching staff that comprises of 4 former 1-AA college players (Army, Lafayette, Lehigh and Maine.) My first task was to sell the single wing offense to some knowledgeable coaches with strong opinions on how things should be done. I was sold shortly after reading and viewing the materials you sent me. I passed the material on to the head coach and he was sold on the single wing too !. We were all impressed on your perspective on youth sports and youre realistic but success oriented expectations.

We followed the plan to the best of our ability and we had a very successful and satisfying season! We went 8-0. Combined score of 233-46. The numbers only tell half of the story though. Our practices were so much more efficient and productive. We only went 2 nights a week for 1:15 or 1:30. The kids were always fresh on game day and very few were mentally tired by season's end.

Our 2006 team was a starter oriented team. The subs played sparingly and almost never on defense. This year with the single wing and your program we were in control of the games early. We really could dictate the score of every game. As a result our subs played just as much and maybe a little bit more than our starters. And they played as much defense as they did offense.

Our second offense contributed long drives and several touchdowns, whereas last year we were just hoping for a first down or two.

Everyone involved this year was satisfied with our season. The kids were more involved in the games and learned more in practice. We as a coaching staff have only just begun with the single wing. We worked out many kinks and hope to keep learning how to use the offense and your system to it's fullest potential. Thanks for your contribution to our successful season.

Sincerely,
Curt Planz

Dave,
I just wanted to give you an update on how our 8-10 year old team finished the year. The team finished the season 9-0, not bad after going 1-19 for the last two years.

We finished the season outscoring our opponents 279-6. We had 7 different kids score touchdowns and a host of others running the ball. We scored touchdowns on 16 power, 18 sweep, 32 wedge, 43 reverse, mouse 47 sweep, mouse 23 power, spinner 26 power, spinner 47 sweep, mesh 18 sweep, and our bread and butter play 31 trap. We scored our 1 pt conversions with 22 wedge and our 2 pt conversions with 18 sweep pass. We were able to install all base plays along with mouse, spinner, mesh, buck wedge series. The kids picked up on the simple to in stall plays and were begging for more towards the end of the year. We ran the wide tackle 6 defense just like you showed in the book with great success only giving up 1 touchdown and 7 first downs in 9 games. Again, Thanks for putting in the time and effort and making this system available for me to use.

11/1/2007 Hello Dave, I watched my son play the past 2 years on the Pee Wee's, and his first year they may have won 3 games and last year they only won 1 game the entire season. In our Southern Division Championship Game we came up 11 seconds short of going to the Super Bowl as our opponent scored their game winning touchdown with 11 seconds to go. We were the talk of the town as Coaches began to fear us, Coaches now come to me and tell me what a fantastic job I was doing with this team and that they used to pencil Burnside in as an automatic win by 50 points but now we have became a strong contender. Dave,
I just wanted to thank you for sharing your Winning Youth Football Coaching program. We had an explosive offensive averaging 30 plus points a game and a real solid Defense only allowing an average of 9 points a game. Not bad for a team that only had 5 returning players and 12 completely new players that had never played football before.

I would strongly suggest that anyone thinking about purchasing your program to not just buy the book but also purchase your CD's, as they really break everything down for you in an easy to learn step by step procedure. Once again I want to say "thanks" for helping me bring back the Football Pride to our Burnside School kids, parents and fans.

I'm already excited just thinking about next year.

Hi Dave,
I purchased your materials at the beginning of the '06 season, after a year in the non-competitive coaches on the field controlled scrimmage format, my coaches moved into the competitive division of out local youth program. Our league is 5th and 6th grade, we had 12 kids returning with little experience and 12 new kids coming from the instructional league. The returning players were very skeptical about the single wing, there is another team in the league that runs it and has struggled up to now. After our 1st game against that team we lost 22-12, I followed your plan and accepted responsibility for not preparing my team well enough to reach their potential. From that point forward our season has been a dream! We ended up with a 6-1 record averaging around 20 pts. a game (league rules dictate 2nd team in with an 18 pt. lead) and giving up under 5pts. a game using a modified wide tackle six D. Because of the potency of this offense we were able to get our 2nd teamers in the game in the 2nd quarter and with these systems they also competed favorably against most other 1st teams. I actually had people complain that their kids only got to play in the 3rd quarter in a couple of games(again within guidelines).

Great season finishing up at 6-2 and only giving up 5 TDs in 8 games, 3 of which were in the 1st game to that other single wing team who also finished at 6-2.

Thanks for all you do for all of us. Regards,
Tom Fees
P.S. Sorry so wordy but I'm so excited that I've already began looking at next season!

Hello Dave,
I just wanted to let you know how things went for us this year. Back in the spring, I ordered your DVD and spent the next few months learning the methods backwards and forwards. We ran the sainted 6 all year and the wide tackle 6 defense. Our team finished the year 8-0. Offensively we outscored our opponents 176-16 scoring on all but one possession. (The other coaches were mad at me the one time we punted because we coulda got the 3 yards with the wedge!) We ran the 43 reverse 6 times, 5 for touchdowns. The 31 trap was another huge play. The kids really were confident in thier ability to run the simple plays that we repped so many times. Our defense was great as well only giving up 2 touchdowns all year.

Thank you for this information. This was a great experience for me and my 9 year old son. He LOVES football now and can't wait for the fall. Again, thanks so much. Tom Oswalt

Dave
Wanted to let you know how our 2007 season has gone. I help coach a 7-8 year old city league team. In July we were discussing how we were going to attack this coming football season. All of us coaches are limited in football experience, so I got on line and researched and found your web site. At the end of July I ordered your videos and book. I was put in charge of setting up an offense and defense.

Our players are small with a 50-50 split on aggressiveness, but very smart for their age. In 10 practices following your practice schedule we implemented the offense and defense all the way through the spinner series, to which we were very pleased with the execution of all plays. Our season began on Sept. 15th with a jamboree game in which we won 20-0. Scored on every possession except the last, when we just ran out the clock. We have played seven games this season and we went 7-0 scoring 225 points and surrendering 0 points and four first downs all year. We play two 25 minute halves with a running clock. So, as you can see possessions were limited. We scored on every possession except 5 avg. 32 points a game.

Before the league started several coaches commented that they were forming their teams to beat us, since we had won the flag league last year. One coach in particular stated his team was the best team of players he has had since he had been coaching ( we played them last week and won 41-0). The compliments and praise we have gotten from parents and coaches throughout the league on our team has been overwhelming. Coaches, parents and players from other age groups come over to watch us play. All are in amazement at what this team of 7-8 year olds are accomplishing.

I wanted to say THANK YOU !!!!!
It has been a fun season for us all !!!!!

Asst. Coach
LSU Tigers (7-8 year olds)
