There is a little known High School rule that allows you a free kick place kicked field goal attempt if you do so immediately following a fair catch. Most of us in the USA use the Federation High School rule book and then add in a few nuances for the youth football leagues we are coaching in. But nearly every youth football league in the country uses Federation High School rules as their base rule book.

I’ve known just one coach that has tried this, Dr John Ward, a famous Single Wing High School coach that seems to know every “obscure” rule in the book.
